The Social Content Audit: What to Review Before You Post More

Before increasing output, use this focused audit to identify what is helping your audience move and what is simply filling the feed.
More content is rarely the first answer
When a feed feels quiet, the reflex is to publish faster. A content audit slows that reflex down long enough to reveal what the audience is already responding to: topics, openings, formats, and moments that create useful attention.
Look for patterns, not one-off wins
Review the last thirty posts through three lenses: retention, saves or shares, and quality of the next action. A high-reach post that brings the wrong audience is less useful than a lower-reach post that starts relevant conversations.
Document the patterns in a one-page scorecard. It gives your creative team a clear brief and makes each new month more informed than the last.
